Table-toppers too strong for Chaddy

CHADDERTON went down 3-1 at in-form Atherton Collieries last night.
The hosts – who hoisted themselves into top spot in the North-West Counties League First Division table thanks to their fifth straight victory – were two up at half-time.
Gareth Peet effectively sealed victory shortly after the restart, before Chris Pauley grabbed a
65th-minute consolation goal for Chadderton, who slid to 11th place in the standings.
MOSSLEY have the chance to leapfrog opponents Salford City tonight as the two clash at Seel Park in Evo-Stik Division One North (7.45pm).
The Lilywhites are in great form having won their fourth league and cup game on the spin at Harrogate Railway Athletic on Saturday.
The three points lifted Mossley to 12th in the league table after they had got the season off to a shaky start under new joint-bosses Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison.
