CHAMPIONS Heyside will lead the Saddleworth and District Cricket League’s pursuit of the LCB Cup next season.
Runners-up Glodwick, Saddleworth, Uppermill and Greenfield will also represent the league, as well as new club Whalley Range after they won the Manchester and District Association title.
The top five clubs qualify for the LCB Cup. However, because fourth-placed Bamford Fieldhouse were thrown out of the league for “continued flouting of the rules”, the executive committee have included Greenfield, who finished sixth in the final standings, in their representatives for 2014.
The first-round draw takes place at the LCB Recreational Cricket committee meeting at Old Trafford on Monday, October 14.
