Buckley and Griffiths can’t stop winning

BOWLS:
NIMBLE Nook stars Andrew Buckley and Darren Griffiths teamed up to win the end-of- season pairs tournament at Houldsworth WMC, Reddish.
Newly-crowned Waterloo champion Buckley and Griffiths, recent winner of the Delph Open, trailed Ryan Bancroft and Andy Raymond 18-8 in the final, but hit back to win 21-19.
They netted £350 for their efforts and for Buckley it completed a notable double, having won the summer singles event on the same green.
SPRINGBANK’S Paul Heap reached the final of the Stalybridge Invitational 32, only to lose 21-18 to Hyde’s David Walker.
