Ashley Beech: gear lever problem ended his race
MOTORCYCLE RACING:
RETIREMENT on lap seven capped a disappointing weekend for Ashley Beech at Silverstone.
The Moorside racer was forced to pull out when challenging for a top 20 finish in the penultimate round of the National Superstock 1000 Championship.
Beech had made a good start on JDR Racing’s Kawasaki ZX-10R bike and had moved several places when his gear lever detached and ending his race.
The 12th and final round is at Brands Hatch on October 20.
