Dunbar delivers goods at Oldham

GOLF:

THERE was a photo finish in Oldham’s single Stableford, with Peter Dunbar edging out Mark Furnival after both had scored 38 points.

And Terry Garrett was a single point behind as it became ultra tight on the finishing stretch.

Dunbar completed a notable weekend double when he teamed up with Ray Fry to win a four-ball, better-ball Stableford with 42 points.

Duncan Eastham and Rodger Kenny (41pts) were second, followed by Terry Garrett and Phil Dockerty (40pts).



VAL Hall won a card play-off against runner-up Joyce Adams in a single Stableford at Crompton and Royton. Both had scored 36 points.
