SNOOKER:

JOSH Cooper’s break of 53 for Three Cs ‘A’ helped them to topple last weeks league leaders, St Pauls, 4-2, in the Oldham Amateur Snooker League.

But while Three Cs ‘A’ were enjoying a good night at home, their ‘B’ team were suffering a 6-0 whitewash at Royton Band, a defeat which sees them propping up the snooker table seven games into the season.

The victorious Royton Band team climbed into top spot alongside Deaf ‘A, who were 5-1 winners at home to Blue Club ‘A’.

It was a week of whitewashes on the card tables with four of the eight matches ending in 4-0 victories.
