Hollinwood held at home

RUGBY:
AS hard as they tried, Hollinwood were unable to clinch victory in this 30-30 stalemate at home to lowly Brighouse ‘A’.
A touchdown by Tom Jeffries, goaled by Andy Gorey, put the hosts in front.
Brighouse hit back with a converted try, and that set the tone for the afternoon as each team cancelled out one another.
Going all out for the win, Pete Jackson and Hubbert made a last-ditch break.
Brighouse’s defending winger tried to intercept the final pass and it appeared he knocked the ball forward. Jackson recovered possession and raced to the line, only to hear the referee blow for a forward pass, much to Hollinwood’s disappointment.
