Seventh heaven for striker Sultan

HOT prospect Niall Sultan was again in devastating form as he struck seven goals in Failsworth Athletic’s latest Midas Plumbing and Heating Supplies Oldham Sunday League victory.

Sultan, who plays for North-West Counties League outfit Chadderton on Saturdays, led the way as Failsworth won their Jack Abbott Premier Division clash 14-0 against Legends Athletic.

Making up the victors’ tally were Danny Allott (four), Jack Turnbull (two) and Ryan Lyons.

Steve Barrow (two) and Shabbir Ali were on target for Coppice United ‘A’ as they prevailed 3-1 at Crompton House Old Boys.

Chris Ollerton replied for the Old Boys.

Ryan Hobin bagged a four-timer as Rifle Range ‘A’ cruised to a 5-0 win at Moston Villa in the Manchester County Shield.

Carl Beamish also netted.

In the Champion of Champions Cup competition, Limeside King George edged out Salt Box FC 5-4 thanks to goals from W Ware (two), I Melia, J Heap and W Berry.

Luke Mack bagged a hat-trick as FC Dynamos won 3-2 at Limeside Athletic in David Giblin Division One.

D Shaw got both Athletic’s efforts.

M King was in even better form as he scored all five Oldham GPO goals in a 5-1 success at The Kenyon.

K Chapman replied for Kenyon.

Rifle Range ‘B’ and Carrion Crow shared six goals.

Anthony Morris (two) and Danny Browne scored for Range, while Ian Burns, Tony Lloyd and Jamie Shaw replied.

Saddleworth FC had Lewis Hough, Simon Lloyd, Adam Young and Joel Longmore on target in a 4-3 win against Westwood, for whom J Noor, M Rahman and N Ziamal replied.

Adeel Rangzaib, Zaid Yaqoob, Kamran Zamir and Zamir Fesail registered for Coppice United ‘B’ as they won their Martin Buckley Division Two clash, 4-3 against Manchestere Swifts.

The visitors replied through Lee Ryan, B Jackson and Kyle Boland.

Royton Athletic also won 4-3, against Springhead Libs ‘B’.

Lewis Johnson, Dane English, Stephen Palfreyman and Keiron Das scored for Athletic, with Adam Smith replying with a hat-trick for Libs.

Aaron Hurst, Nicky Caine, Jonny Lambert and Danny Hurst scored in Trap Inn’s 4-1 victory against White Hart, for whom Stuart Wilson responded.

There was another 4-3 outcome in Division Three, with Cartshaft getting the better of High Crompton Victoria.

Luke Hargreaves (two), Rob Flynn and Eddie Aspin scored for Cartshaft. Michael McCabe (two) and Nick Campbell replied.

Michael Lawrence and Peter Blackman scored in Oldham FC’s 2-0 win against White House.
