Honeywell beaten!

TABLE TENNIS: TOP of the table and previously-unbeaten Honeywell C suffered a shock 10-0 thrashing at Saddleworth C in Division Two of the Oldham and District Table Tennis League.
Nick Mooney, Duncan Hadfield and Gary Crossley did the damage for the hosts.
Honeywell D also were also on the wrong end of one-sided scoreline as they crashed 8-2 against Hollinwood C. George Jones was on fire for the visitors, well supported by Jack Christian and Joe Redikin.
In Division One, leaders BAE were beaten 8-2 by reigning champions Glodwick A. Big guns Michael Moir, Andy Jackson and Mark Ramsbottom were to the fore, while Tony Bates registered a singles win for BAE before combining with Tony Smith to land the doubles.
Tommy Ryan’s treble for Honeywell B was in vain as they went down 6-4 at Glodwick ‘B’, for whom Majid Tubasum and Kristof Pinter recorded doubles and Mohammed Sagied a single.
Birley Moss overcame Saddleworth B 6-4 with good performances from Kim Lee and Miles Benjamin.
Benjamin and Nadeem Ahmed teamed up to claim the deciding doubles 11-9 in the fifth game to secure the win. Nick Mooney won two for the visitors.
