Oldham hard to beat

HOCKEY: OLDHAM picked up seven points in a triple-header against Didsbury Northern.
The first team were held to a 1-1 draw by Didsbury seconds in North Hockey Women’s Association Division Two South-West.
Louise Howard put Oldham in front early on, but their opponents drew level after the break.
Josie Kelso teamed up with Karen Rowley to score the only goal of the game as Oldham seconds, in fiercely-contested game, beat Didsbury thirds.
The win lifted the side out of the Greater Manchester Women’s Hockey Association First Division relegation zone.
