SNOOKER:
DEAF ‘A’ and North Chadd ‘B’ are neck-and-neck after the latest round of action in the Oldham Amateur Snooker League.
The title hopefuls each recorded 4-2 victories, while Royton Band climbed within touching distance of the top two after a resounding 6-0 whitewash of Stanley Road ‘A’.
With two games to go until the halfway stage of the season, John Heywood of St Paul’s continues to be the man to beat.
Heywood’s 100-per-cent success rate is unmatched by any other player in the league and has undoubtedly contributed to his side occupying the upper echelons of the table since the start of the campaign.
