Non-League football: SCORING goals isn’t a problem for Mossley – but trying to prevent them at the other end is giving joint managers Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison some problems.
Last weekend at Kendal Town the Lilywhites scored five - but let in six.
Defender Kyle McGonigle has been given a four-game suspension following his third sending-off last Saturday, but it doesn’t kick in until after tomorrow’s home game against Padiham, whom the Lilywhites have already beaten twice this season.
Dean Warburton and Wayne Welbeck are out with ankle injuries, but Band and Morrison have strengthened the squad by signing striker Brandon Windsor from Stockport County on a short-term deal.
CHADDERTON and OLDHAM BORO will bid to build on impressive victories last weekend when they return to North-West Counties League First Division action.
Boro’s 1-0 success at Northwich Flixton Villa was their second on the spin, and tomorrow Tony Mills’ men host Rochdale Town.
Boro and Town are locked on 20 points each in mid-table, though the visitors to Atherton have a much better goal difference, and are in good form themselves, having won four of their last six.
Chadderton beat Eccleshall 4-1 last time, and tomorrow they host struggling Northwich.
Matty Russell bagged his 16th and 17th goals of the season in the win against Eccleshall, but Niall Sultan (hamstring injury) and John Rogers (work) are unavailable tomorrow.
