DEPLETED Mossley fell to a comprehensive 3-0 defeat at Evo-Stik Division One North high-fliers Farsley.
It was the suspension and injury-hit Lilywhites’ fifth straight league defeat as Charlie Anderson was the latest player to limp out of a game early.
He came off after 22 minutes, by which time the hosts were already 1-0 up thanks to Adam Priestley’s goal.
Matt Dempsey doubled Farsley’s lead just before the half-hour mark, forcing Lilywhites joint-bosses Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison into a double-change at the interval with youngster Tom Dean and Band himself entering the fray for the first time this season.
Mossley slipped further behind when Aiden Savory struck to make it 3-0, though at least the visitors remained in 15th place in the table despite their latest reverse.
The Lilywhites host Bamber Bridge on Boxing Day (3pm kick-off).
CHADDERTON were denied a chance to secure a third straight North-West Counties League First Division victory when their scheduled clash at AFC Darwen was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
It’s derby day for Chaddy on Boxing Day as they host Oldham Boro.
Boro had no fixture scheduled on Saturday.
Boro’s Gareth Fleming has moved to First Division rivals Rochdale Town.
