AFTER eight straight Evo-Stik Division One North defeats, Mossley finally got back to winning ways thanks to a well-deserved 3-1 Seel Park victory against fellow strugglers Radcliffe Borough.
The Lilywhites had to come from behind, however, as Aden Wainwright fired the visitors into a sixth-minute lead.
Mossley were quickly back on terms as Wayne Welbeck struck two minutes later, though the score stayed at 1-1 until 12 minutes from time.
At that point Dean Warburton pounced to hand the Lilywhites a crucial lead, before substitute Dougie Carroll wrapped up a very welcome win with a spot-kick clincher two minutes from the end.
The three points lifted the relieved Lilywhites up a place into 16th in the table.
Mossley are next in action on Saturday as they travel to Ramsbottom United.
IT was a miserable day in the North-West Counties League First Division for Chadderton, as they slid to a disappointing 3-0 home reverse at the hands of fellow mid-table outfit Rochdale Town.
Callum Smith (two) and Matthew Warburton were on target for Rochdale.
Oldham Boro’s scheduled fixture at Eccleshall was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Chaddy and Boro are both back in league action on Saturday. Boro host Atherton Collieries, while Chadderton travel to Leek CSOB.
