Non-league football:
LATE strikes from Jordan Hulme and former Lilywhite Chris Denham condemned Mossley to a 3-1 defeat at Ramsbottom United.
The visitors slid to a disappointing ninth loss in 10 league games but they managed to remain in 16th place, 10 points clear of the drop zone.
Striker Lee Gaskell fired the Rams into a 10th-minute lead, and it remained 1-0 until half-time.
Just past the hour mark Richard Bennett struck to level the scores and Mossley were looking good to come away with a point.
But Hulme made it 2-1 with 12 minutes to go, then Denham’s even later strike sealed a comfortable win.
Mossley return to league action next weekend when they travel to Salford City.
CHADDERTON took a superb 4-1 away victory at Leek CSOB in the North-West Counties League First Division.
Mitchell Brown handed the hosts an early lead but Chaddy roared back in clinical style.
Macauley Harewood levelled the scores before the break, then in the second period Danny Shaw, Matthew O’Keefe and Danny Hudson completed an excellent win.
Chaddy are now up to eighth place in the table, and return to action at home against Hanley Town on Saturday.
Oldham Boro’s home match against Atherton Collieries was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
