JOINT-manager Peter Band is hoping Mossley’s luck turns tomorrow when they try to get back to winning ways at Salford City.
Last weekend’s 3-1 Evo-Stik Division One North defeat at Ramsbottom was a ninth loss in 10 games for the Lilywhites, but Band insists the result was harsh.
He said: “We created loads of chances. On another day we might have scored 10. One shot struck the inside of the post and was somehow cleared, then at 1-1 we saw one cleared off the line. We need to win more than we lose during the remainder of the season, and I’m confident we can do that because we are playing well.
“It would be a nice boost to get a (positive) result at Salford. We beat them comfortably enough at our place earlier in the season, and we’ve got a strong-looking squad again at the moment.”
Only midfielder Dean Warburton is unavailable as he is suspended.
Meanwhile, Band and fellow joint-boss Lloyd Morrison are taking a look at three potential new signings in training this week.
One is former Lilywhites wing-back Tom Ingham, while the other two are youngsters who began their careers at Manchester City and United respectively.
EIGHTH-placed CHADDERTON face a real test of their North-West Counties League First Division
credentials as they welcome Hanley Town, who are fifth.
Chaddy are in good nick at present, and head into the Broadway clash on the back of a terrific 4-1 victory at Leek CSOB last weekend.
TONY Mills’ OLDHAM BORO have not played since Boxing Day, so will be keeping their fingers crossed that the fixture at Holker Old Boys gets the go-ahead.
