Winter of hard graft for Beech
Date published: 07 February 2014

MOORSIDE’s Ashley Beech is heading to Spain next month to test his new Kawasaki ZX-10R race bike.
MOTORCYCLE RACING: ROUND one of this year’s National Superstock 1,000 Championship may be 10 weeks away, but for Ashley Beech the season got under way right after the final race of 2013.
The 26 year old from Moorside has been working hard on his fitness for what is undoubtedly going to be the most competitive season so far.
Beech’s list of achievements for JD Racing in 2013 was impressive: He beat his personal best lap times at every circuit, won the rider of the day award at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire, recorded his best finish in the series of seventh place, plus a pole position at the last round of the season — and all on a three year old bike!
Changes are now coming as JD Racing has bought a new Kawasaki ZX-10R race bike, whose engine is being rebuilt in full race mode.
Beech and the team are heading to the Almeria circuit in Spain at the end of next month to test new components. The season starts at Brands Hatch on Easter Monday, April 21.
