Hopes high for Rangers
Date published: 07 February 2014
AFTER last weekend’s wash-out, hopes are high for tomorrow’s rearranged Tetley’s Challenge Cup first-round tie between Saddleworth Rangers and Milford Marlins.
Heavy rain on an already sodden pitch at Shaw Hall Bank Road left officials with no option but to postpone.
Fraser Coley is unavailable for Rangers, so coach Shane Tupaea has drafted in Adam Walker on the wing.
Rangers have their sights on the start of the new National Conference League Division One season next month and Tupaea is eager to see his new players in action.
The winners have been drawn away to South-West London in round two, on the weekend of February 22-23.

WATERHEAD are staging a fundraising event for Adam Davies on Sunday (3pm to 6pm).
The teenager has been selected for the Great Britain under-18s’ tour of Malta. There is live entertainment, an auction and a raffle. Tickets are £3 on the door.
