Non-league football:
MOSSLEY had to come from behind to beat Evo-Stik Division One North basement battlers Ossett Albion at a windswept Seel Park.
The Lilywhites eventually prevailed 3-2 following a topsy-turvy clash played in awful conditions, with the three points moving the club up to 14th in the table.
Brian Matthews fired Mossley into the lead after 22 minutes, but 10 minutes later the hosts found themselves behind.
Adam Muller levelled the score, before David Brown slotted Albion into the lead from the penalty spot.
It took a second penalty of the game for the Lilywhites to make it 2-2, with Matthews again the scorer.
With 17 minutes to go, Richard Bennett struck the winning goal as Mossley finally saw off a gutsy Albion side.
The Lilywhites are back in action on Saturday when they host Northwich Victoria in a league game.
Meanwhile, Mossley strengthened their squad just prior to the weekend when they drafted in attacking midfielder Marly Gough and versatile right-sided player Andrew Brown.
CHADDERTON and OLDHAM BORO didn’t have North-West Counties League fixtures scheduled at the weekend. Both are back in action on Saturday when Chaddy host Widnes Vikings and Boro welcome Nelson.
