CUE MAN: Alex Smith, of North Chadd ‘A’, won the opening frame of the top of the table clash.
North Chadd rivals locked together in pursuit of honours THERE was everything to play for at North Chadd in the Oldham Snooker League.
North Chadd ‘A’, the leaders, were the visitors against their ‘B’ team, who were a close second.
A Smith took the first frame for the ‘A’ side before K Leach drew the scores level.
S Mac then put the ‘hosts’ in front, before D Blacerzak made it 3-1 to the ‘B’ team, who then needed to claim the final frame to claim the outright lead.
They put their trust in Martin Kennedy, one of the lowest handicaps in the league playing off -49, against Paul Durr on +2.
Kennedy had to give Durr a 51-points start, and the latter managed to hold on to his advantage.
The 4-2 result means the North Chadd teams are locked together at the top of the table.
