RUGBY:
CHRIS Hough’s enthusiasm is undimmed despite taking on a stiff task at Waterhead.
The 33 year old has been installed in the hot seat for 2014 despite plenty of commitments elsewhere.
Not only has the former scrum-half retired from playing to assist Rochdale Hornets head coach Ian Talbot at Spotland, but he is also enjoying his testimonial year at the newly-promoted Kingstone Press Championship Club.
Hough is also plotting a season at Peach Road without the services of departed stars Dale Lowe, Mick Diveney, Alan Williamson and Craig Highton.
But across a long playing career Hough has been well known for his commitment.
“The lads have been taking on board what we have been doing in training and that is very pleasing,” said Hough. “One thing we are really trying to promote is that we enjoy ourselves on the field. I am quietly confident of a good season.”
