Jolly star Robinson stuns poor Limeside

FOOTBALL: ANTHONY Robinson scored four times for Jolly Carter as they crushed Limeside FC 8-1 in their Midas Plumbing and Heating Oldham Sunday League Challenge Cup third-round tie.

Paul Collins added a hat-trick for the Jolly boys, while Paul Naylor completed the rout.

Jordan Hall replied for Limeside.

Rob Flynn struck twice as Cartshaft sunk High Crompton Victoria 4-1. Adam Bell and Chris McDonald also scored for Cartshaft.

Top-flight Rifle Range ‘A’ also prevailed 4-1, this time at Division Three Blue Club, with Nathan Eastmond bagging a couple of goals.

Jonathan Shaw and Johnny Munson wrapped up victory, while A Henderson struck back for Club.

Liam Cashmore, Grant Marshall, Joe Heap and Wayne Ware scored for Limeside King George in their 4-2 triumph at Coppice United ‘A’, for whom Faisal Khaliq and Steve Barrow replied.

In the final cup clash of the day, P Badby and D Scanlon’s goals were enough for Fitton Hill to see off Trap Inn 2-1. I Bradshaw scored for Trap.

There was a thrilling David Giblin Division One game between Springhead Libs ‘A’ and Saddleworth FC, with the hosts sneaking home by the odd goal in 11.

Andrew Simpson, Adam Bray, Marcus Garnes, Dave Laryea, Nathan Jacobs and Karl Farrell scored for the Libs, with Jack Stanton, Jack Shaw, Lee Milner, Adam Young and William Webster hitting back for Saddleworth.
