A commanding second half display saw Manchester Thunder sweep aside Loughborough Lightning 61-31 in a Superleague away clash.
With a stop-start first quarter littered with errors and misses from both sides, it was Thunder who took an early lead aided by multiple turnovers by Kerry Almond, Emma Dovey and Rachel Henry.
Holding a 13-9 advantage at the first break, Thunder stretched further ahead to 24-15 by half-time.
Thunder coach Tracey Neville made multiple changes for the third quarter and Kathryn Turner, with a point to prove, started well and scored a couple of early goals. Thunder settled into an early rhythm claiming the quarter 20-7. There was no let-up in the final quarter.
Thunder return to The Manchester Thunderdome on Saturday when the opposition is Team Northumbria (6pm).
