Rangers ready for Sharks attack

CARRY on the good work. That is the message from Saddleworth Rangers coach Shane Tupaea as prepares his side for tomorrow’s clash at home to Shaw Cross Sharks (2.30pm).
A draw and a win in their opening two Kingstone Press National Conference League Division One games represents a decent start for the Greenfield club.
The victory came in Cumbria against Millom, and Tupaea wants his men to maintain the feelgood factor.
He said: “We’ve got a bit of momentum going and hopefully that will continue this weekend.
“With the ground drying out, it should be a much faster game and with the lads as fit as they’ve been since I’ve been here, that could suit us.
“It was a good three points up at Millom.
“When it was 18-4, I thought finally it was a game in which we could gain good control, but Adam Walker was sinbinned, they ran in some tries and the pressure was on. In the end it was a relief to get the win.”
Matt Fogarty is back from a ban, but Ryan Moores is missing because of family commitments. There is also an injury doubt surrounding Dave Newton.
WATERHEAD are in need of a pick-me-up after a couple of heavy defeats in Division Two.
Without a win in their first two fixtures, Chris Hough’s team play host to Askam tomorrow (2.30pm).
The visitors to Peach Road lost on the opening day, but defeated Pilkington Recs 40-26 at home last weekend.
OLDHAM St Anne’s have no game in Division Two as Pilkington Recs, who they were due to play, are in Tetley’s Challenge Cup action.
