Heyside then struck the crossbar in the closing minutes, but the final score remained 1-1. Despite the hosts twice taking the lead in extra-time from Niall Barnes and Fulham, Hepworth equalised twice – the second in the dying seconds for 3-3.
That forced a penalty shoot-out, during which two fine saves from Tom Keating helped Heyside to a 4-3 victory as Fulham, Matthew Crothers, Carl Taylor and Danny Cashin scored from the spot.
Uppermill secured a 1-0 home Division One victory against Heywood Irish Centre, while Diggle enjoyed a terrific away success at Netherton.
