SNOOKER:
THERE is everything to play for in the Oldham Amateur Snooker League, with four rounds of matches to go.
Leaders North Chadd ‘A’ were held to a 3-3 draw at Stanley Road, and the former are just two points clear of club rivals North Chadd ‘B’, who suffered a 4-2 loss at home to Nimble Nook — despite a break of 32 by Martin Kennedy (North Chadd ‘B’) in from three.
A break of 45 from Alan Hopkinson helped Royton Band secure a 4-2 success at St Paul’s, while a fine 33 clearance from MJ Smith, of Blue Club ‘B’, clinched frame, only for Three Cs ‘A’ to claim the spoils to keep alive their title hopes.
