RUGBY: DEFENDING a three-game unbeaten record, Saddleworth Rangers tomorrow take on a team who have yet to pick up a point in the Kingstone Press National Conference League.
Myton Warriors, without a win in three Division One games, welcome Shane Tupaea’s side, second in the table behind Oulton Raiders.
It is a big opportunity for Rangers to maintain early-season momentum, but coach Tupaea is sure to be warning against complacency.
ON a high after breaking their duck in Division Two, Waterhead head to West Yorkshire to play Bradford Dudley Hill tomorrow.
The Peach Road side was excellent in defeating Askam 15-0 and Chris Hough, who sealed victory with a late try, will be wanting more of the same from his men.
Dudley Hill will be be tougher proposition, however. They sit second in the table and will be smarting after losing 28-16 at Stanley Rangers in their most recent league clash.
OLDHAM St Anne’s were kicking their heels last weekend — opponents Pilkington Recs were in Tetley’s Challenge Cup action — after two wins in as many games in Division Two.
It has been a terrific start for young coach Mick Fogerty, and his in-form side will be favourites to make it three on the bounce tomorrow.
Stanningley are the visitors to Higginshaw Road and they arrive in the town bottom of the table and without a success in three games.
