Hats off to super Hadfield

TABLE TENNIS:
DUNCAN Hadfield was out on his own as Saddleworth ‘B’ defeated Birley Moss 6-4 in Division One of the Oldham and District Table Tennis League.
Five of the singles and the doubles were decided over five games, but Duncan Hadfield, of Saddleworth, was the only unbeaten player.
Another 6-4 result was recorded at Honeywell Lane ‘B’, where the home side were beaten by Glodwick ‘B’.
Outstanding junior player Amir Hussain boasted a 100-per-cent record on the night for the latter.
And Hollinwood ‘A’ continued the trend of 6-4 scorelines as they beat Honeywell ‘A’, for whom Marcus McNulty gained a valuable three points.
