Michael Wild: career-best break
SNOOKER:
MOORSIDE potting machine Michael Wild reached the semi-finals of the Manchester Snooker Open in stunning fashion.
Wild had a competition-best break of 132 as well as runs of 78 and 57 as he trounced John Welsh 4-0 in the quarter-finals.
Wild - who lost 6-4 to Failsworth’s Dean Sheridan in last year’s final - has still to discover who he will play in the semi final at Rileys, Belle Vue, on April 9.
Sheridan, meanwhile, remains on course to successfully defend his title after beating Oldham’s Reece Kershaw 4-2 in the last eight.
