Non-league football:
MID-table Chadderton are hoping to string together a positive end to their North-West Counties League First Division campaign.
Without a fixture on Saturday, Chaddy now have just five games left - their next game being on Wednesday at AFC Darwen.
Joint-boss Steve Patterson is satisfied with the current 10th place in the table - though would like to finish higher: “We just want to win all our remaining games now. That’s been our target since there were 10 games left, but we have had a few draws lately.
“We’ve had plenty of chances in recent games. If we can close the season with some good momentum, though, that will help the lads. We won five of the last six games last season and that meant they couldn’t wait to come back in for pre-season training.”
Whatever happens between now and April 26, Patterson will take heart from the way his youthful side has coped with the rigours of the North-West Counties League.
OLDHAM Boro were also inactive at the weekend. They return to action tonight with a home game against AFC Darwen (7.45pm kick-off).
