Andy Kremner: turning pro
Boxing:
ANDY Kremner has vowed nerves won’t be a factor when he steps into the ring for his professional debut on Saturday.
The 21-year-old, Delph-based light-welterweight is trying his skills as a pro after a good amateur career, and will face Birmingham journeyman Jason Nesbitt in a six-round contest at the Wythenshawe Forum.
A sizeable following from Oldham will roar Kremner on, with the man himself promising not to disappoint: “I’m just really looking forward to Saturday now. I’m absolutely raring to go. Nerves aren’t a factor despite this being my pro debut. I’m just focused on putting in a good performance.
“I’ve got respect for Nesbitt, he’s been around a bit, but I’ve got a game-plan and as long as I stick to that I should be okay.”
