SNOOKER:
THE Oldham Amateur Snooker League title race has been thrown wide open following an amazing night of action.
The top two sides, North Chadderton ‘A’ and ‘B’, both lost 5-1, while third-placed Three Cs ‘A’
whitewashed Deaf ‘A’.
Despite a break of 36, K Halliwell was unable to win the third frame for the hosts as Royton Band won 4-2 at Stanley Road ‘A’ to move within five points of the top.
Royton have an outside chance of snatching the title as they host second-placed Three Cs ‘A’ next week in a must-win game for both sides.
