RUGBY:
DESPITE suffering a first defeat of the season, Oldham St Anne’s continues to lead the way in the Rugby Oldham Amateur Club Challenge.
Mick Fogerty’s side was beaten 34-0 by Pilkington Recs in Division Two of the Kingstone Press National Conference League. But with a record of four wins out of five, Saints hold sway.
Saddleworth and Waterhead, also from the NCL, are second and third respectively.
The latter have climbed from second-bottom after two recent victories. The top three sides are all in action this weekend.
