Premier bowling event open for entries

ENTRIES are being accepted for the 2014 Green Final Bowls Handicap, the most prestigious event on the local calendar.

Heats will be held at Moorside, Royton, Crompton and Nimble Nook on Fridays June 6 and 13, with the finals at North Chadderton Social and Bowling Club on Saturday, July 5.

Each of the four qualifying venues will produce one finalist per night.

IT’S finals day on the Chadderton Cot artificial surface on Sunday when the Carling Team final will be followed by the last 16 of the Wild’s Of Oldham individual handicap.

Springhead Rovers, in receipt of 18 chalks, take on Waterloo and Taunton in the final of the team event.

The draw for the singles competition, which has reached the last-16 stage, is -
