DARTS:
DAVE Airey won the crucial final match as Oldham’s darts team progressed to within a whisker of claiming the Lancashire GMC Elite Super Eights title, thanks to a 5-5 draw salvaged at Rochdale.
The result — coupled with second-placed St Helens also managing no more than a tie — maintains Oldham’s 12-point advantage. A single point collected from the final fixture at home to Stockport on Friday, June 13, will be enough for Oldham.
