Ellis displays Classic form

BOWLS: GARY Ellis landed his second big prize of the season by winning the Kirkham Conservative Club Invitation Classic on Easter Monday.
Tonge and Nimble Nook star Ellis, recent winner of the Tetley Walker event in Warrington, walked off with the £400 top prize when he beat Kendal’s Ian Nicholson 21-13 in the final.
Ellis defeated Winsford’s Glynn Cookson 21-10 in the semi-finals and Hyndburn’s Craig Rammell 21-17 in the last eight.
