ANGLING: THE Medlock Bridge AC open match fished on the Park Lake gave John Lees (Gilders) a perfect Easter win.

His feeder and maggot approach worked well for chub and skimmers as he tipped 9lb 13oz on the scales.

That beat John Parker into second, with pole and maggot fished over groundbait seeing him net 7lb 1oz of skimmers and small roach.

Another Medlock Bridge match on the Park Lake saw Fred Prudham draw noted peg eight, where fishing the waggler and pole he netted himself four bream weighing 8lb 12oz, to give Prudham his first win of the series.

Billy Brierley took second with waggler and maggot tempting most of his fish from peg three, though a lost 2lb bream cost him the match - he weighed in 7lb 13oz.

GEOFF Ogden (Tight Lines) was the man in form at Devines Fishery near Chorley. Again he took first place with 28lb 12oz of skimmers and carp taken on meat fished on the method feeder and old ghost bream groundbait.

MIXED bags were the norm in the latest Twingates OAP match fished on the club waters, where Dave White was the winner with a 14lb 12oz net that fell to pellet and maggot on peg 21. Rod Illing was second with 13lb 1oz.
