NON_LEAGUE FOOTBALL: HALF-time substitute Richard Bennett scored the only goal of the game as Mossley ended their roller-coaster Evo-Stik League Division One North campaign on a high note, with victory against Farsley at Seel Park.

Bennett replaced Wayne Welbeck at the interval, and after the Lilywhites had missed numerous chances against the gutsy Yorkshiremen, he fired home with just three minutes remaining.

The three points meant Mossley finished the season in 15th place in the table, having won 13 and drawn eight of their 42 league matches.

CHADDERTON also ended their North-West Counties League First Division season on a positive note as they beat visitors Leek CSOB 3-2 following a cracking second-half.
Two goals in the first five minutes of the second period from Josh Lynch and Matty Russell opened up a healthy lead for the hosts.

Ryan Ball pulled a goal back for Leek in the 75th minute, before Liam Wood curled in a cracking strike from just inside the box to bag what turned out to be the winner.

Ball scored another goal to make it 3-2 in the dying minutes, but Chaddy comfortably held on for victory.

Chadderton finished their season in 13th place in the table.

Oldham Boro closed their disappointing season with a 2-1 home reverse against Cheadle Town.
Danny Pearson had fired Boro into an interval lead, but Cheadle struck back after the restart to secure their win courtesy of goals from Chris McGreavy and Adam Marsden. Tony Mills’ Boro ended their campaign in 16th place in the standings.
