Tupaea throws down gauntlet

SADDLEWORTH Rangers coach Shane Tupaea is demanding 80 minutes of full-on commitment from his players for tomorrow’s trip to Ince Rose Bridge.
Rangers slipped to a fourth Kingstone Press National Conference League Division One defeat of the
season last weekend. The team was undone by a try in the closing seconds as Normanton Knights scraped home 36-30.
“It is silly little defensive mistakes and the lack of leadership on the pitch which are letting us down. These are things we have looked to address in training.”
Tupaea admits his biggest challenge is fielding a settled team, and he is again without player-maker Michael Coates (hand) and Liam Hall (shoulder) because of injury, while Ian Sinfield is absent and Adam Walker is serving the third game of a seven-match ban. On the plus side, Anthony Morrison and Gareth Morgan are available.
OLDHAM St Anne’s and Waterhead have a weekend off in NCL Division Two.
