CRICKET: THE ability to bounce back from adversity needs to be displayed by our four local clubs in the Lake Garage CLL this weekend.

Royton, Werneth, Crompton and Oldham all lost last Sunday, so confidence levels will not be high.

Heywood provide the opposition for Royton tomorrow and Werneth on Sunday, with new Crimble skipper Danny Pawson buoyed by a match-winning hundred last weekend.

Werneth go to Rochdale tomorrow for a fixture featuring two clubs without a win in the Premier Division so far, while on Sunday Royton entertain a Norden side for whom professional Daniel Salpietro has hit unbeaten centuries in his only two innings for the club.

In the Championship, Crompton hope to recover from their shock home defeat against Monton and Weaste when they entertain Unsworth tomorrow and go to Radcliffe 24 hours later.

And Oldham will look to get off the mark tomorrow when they face an Ashton side without a point to their name so far.

Sunday sees Rashid Hussain’s men travel to Middleton.
