CHRIS Hough reckons he knows what to expect when he locks coaching horns with Mick Fogerty tomorrow.

The duo are familiar with each another and ahead of the first league derby of the season - Waterhead v Oldham St Anne’s (2.30pm kick-off) - Hough is expecting a stern test.

“I grew up with Mick and know what he is all about,” said Waterhead boss Hough, who will get his boots dirty to direct operations on the pitch in the Division Two clash.

“And if that is rubbing off on his players then it means we will be in for a battle.”

Hough has been hit with a sizeable blow in the build-up to tomorrow’s game, with captain Kieran Grennan diagnosed with a broken leg, as opposed to what was initially thought to be a calf strain.

David Orwell is also missing.

Having had a rest from action last week, Waterhead will be aiming to build on a 40-12 home win over Castleford Panthers last time out.

Rival coach Fogerty has told his St Anne’s players the importance of keeping cool heads as a show of indiscipline could sway the contest one way or the other.

To spice things up, the hosts feature four men who played for Waterhead last season — Carl Sneyd, Craig Highton, Mick Diveney and Alan Williamson.

St Anne’s are four places and five points better off than their opponents.

In Division One, Saddleworth Rangers make the trip to York Acorn (2.30pm) looking to bounce back from defeat last time out.

Shane Tupaea’s side were seen off 46-24 at Ince Rose Bridge on Saturday, a result which leaves them lying ninth in Division One — a place behind Acorn on goal difference.
