OLDHAM Netball under-16s won their third national title in a row thanks to a commanding win 37-28 in the final over Weston Park Blades.
After seeing off Midlands outfit Sutton Royals 51-18 and local rivals Tameside 31-28, the defending champions were then full of confidence ahead of the clash against the Blades.
Oldham were ahead 20-13 at the half-time interval and already in control, and the same squad that won the under-14s title two years ago, then the under-16s crown last year, were clinical in making it three in a row.
Coach Pam Hazelton said: “I am hugely proud of the girls, they are a talented squad to win three years in a row.
“We made hard work of the Tameside match, but I never doubted that we would come back at them.”
