Delph boost
Date published: 06 June 2014
CRICKET: DELPH have had a double boost ahead of their Drakes Huddersfield League clash at home to Skelmanthorpe tomorrow (1.30pm).
Lancashire all-rounder Arron Lilley and Greg Buckley are both available as Grant Jones’s side look to maintain their push towards the top of the Premiership.
Lilley was absent for last Sunday’s run-fest against Golcar in the Heavy Woollen Cup, while Buckley has missed four games after spending two weeks in Australia.
Jones is hoping to keep wicket, despite dislocating an index finger at Holmfirth last Saturday.
Victory over Golcar — the match featured 643 runs — has earned Delph a home third-round tie against Pudsey Congs on Sunday, June 22.
BUOYED by only their second win of the season in the Greene King Lancashire County League, Woodhouses make the trip to fourth-placed Dukinfield tomorrow.
