DELPH welterweight prospect Andy Kremner is determined to adopt a more composed approach to his second professional fight on Saturday week.

The 21 year old won his debut bout as a pro at the Wythenshawe Forum in April — but it was a self-proclaimed “scruffy” points success against veteran Jason Nesbitt.

Kremner will take on tough Scot Matt Seawright at the Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Trafford Park on June 21, and knows he must improve.

Kremner said: “My last performance was a disappointing one. It was my pro debut and I probably got a bit too carried away. I need to slow things down a bit against Seawright. I need to show more composure.”

There ought to be plenty of support for Kremner at Bowlers: “I’m hoping to take around 100 fans with me, and I’ve been promised some well-known support at ringside, too. “Anthony Crolla (WBO inter-continental lightweight champion) was in the gym the other day and said he’ll be there to cheer me on. I believe (former WBC super-middleweight king) Robin Reid will be there as well.

“It’s not going to be an easy fight at all, but having strong backing, roaring you on from ringside certainly helps getting the confidence up.”
