Woodhouses seek double tonic

CRICKET: Back-to-back home fixtures this weekend give on-form Woodhouses an outstanding chance to make Greene King Lancashire County League progress.



The Belfield outfit roared to a seven-wicket win against Thornham last time out, bagging five points and climbing to sixth place.

Tomorrow they play host to bottom team Stretford, who have won only once this sason, and on Sunday Roe Green, two places above the bottom. Both matches start at 1pm.



DELPH’S recent form is the exact opposite to that of Woodhouses. Grant Jones’s Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership side tasted victory for the first time in a number of weeks on Tuesday in the Twenty20 Trophy.

They also face a double-header this weekend, playng host to second-placed Hoylandswaine tomorrow before they make the trip to mid-table Shelley 24 hours later. Both games start at 1pm.
