Delph defeats
Date published: 03 July 2014
CRICKET: DELPH’S woe continued in the Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership as back-to-back defeats over the weekend pushed their run of losses to four.
Yesterday Grant Jones’s men threw away their victory chance. Chasing 212 to win against Shelley, Delph appeared to be cruising on 172 for two.
But the Huddersfield Road outfit capitulated to 209 all out.
Delph were well beaten by Hoylandswaine on Saturday. The visitors took first knock and racked up 200 for seven. Jones’s men crumbled to 103 all out in reply.
