JUNIOR CRICKET
UPPERMILL remain two points clear at the top of the Saddleworth and District League under-13s Division thanks to a five-wicket win against Glodwick Mouse Men.
Uppermill’s bowlers restricted Glodwick MM to 70 for eight, before replying with 71 for five to take the points.
Greenfield kept up the pressure on Uppermill with an easy victory over South West Manchester. Needing to score 21, they reached their target for the loss of two wickets.
Glodwick secured the points in a tight match at home to Whalley Range. with Glodwick having scored 76 for seven, it went down to the last ball with Range needing three for victory.
They could only score one.
