Bedford lodges winning catch

ANGLING
CRAIG Bedford was the winner of the latest Socials AC match at Tyle Lodge, with his pellet up in the water approach working well for a superb 28lb 9oz of carp, skimmers, bream and ide.
Pete Jackson was second with his 22lb 13oz net made up of skimmers, roach and chub.
Third-placed Mike Diskin used maggot fished shallow to net 21lb 9oz of skimmers, roach and ide.
ORGANISER Dave Machin took first place in the latest Diggle AC match on Tanner’s Dam.
His three carp, ide and roach taken on the long pole and meat helped see off second-placed Wally Butler, who also included three carp in his net, and added some skimmers on pellet.
CHRIS Lett took first prize in the Todmorden AS Tuesday match at Croft, with his pole and worm attack tempting 22lb 3oz of carp.
That eased Paul Wilkinson into second with his 20lb 10oz net of carp falling to the pole, pellet and corn.
Todmorden’s Trophy match scheduled for July 20 has been rearranged for November 9.
TUESDAY’S Bridgewater Canal open match on the Patricroft length was won by Shaun Paddon (Tri-Cast) with his 2lb 9oz net of small roach falling to pole-fished hemp.
Tony Crolla was next with a 1lb 8oz net of small roach which took squatt fished on the drop.
