Boyle retains title

DEFENDING champion Steven Boyle fended off severe back pain to retain his club championship title at Brookdale.

He shot rounds of 70 and 69 gross for a total of 139, and victory over Tom Maddock (76-68-144) and Mark Riley (71-74-145).
