SADDLEWORTH’S Imran Aslam was a man on a mission against Whalley Range in Division One on Saturday.
In a match reduced to 25 overs per side because of rain, the Pakistani professional first claimed seven for 18 as the visitors crashed to 53 all out at Well-i-Hole. Tom Avery took three for 35.
A break for thunder and lightning left Saddleworth requiring a revised target of 49 from 22 overs. Aslam proceeded to smash an unbeaten 44, with the hosts racing to victory inside eight overs.
Droylsden went top of Division Two with a nine-wicket success at Micklehurst, who slumped to 86 all out. Dale Evans struck 55 not out in reply.
All the other games in Divisions One and Two were abandoned because of the wet weather.
